Our Monthly Meetings & Activities
Unless otherwise stated, indoor meetings are held at the Sefton Hotel, ON A WEDNESDAY, meet for lunch 12.00 Noon in Sir Norman's Bar, followed by the advertised talk in The Garden Room or Restaurant.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BOOK LUNCHES WITH IRENE (firstname.lastname@example.org) BY THE SUNDAY PRIOR TO THE LISTED MEETING AT THE SEFTON HOTEL.
Outdoor activities: Walks, Trips etc. usually on Wednesdays at 10.30 a.m., from various venues. Where applicable a grid reference is shown.

Jan 7th: Curraghs Walk Meet: Wildlife Park car park. Lunch: The Raven, Ballaugh.
Jan 21st: AGM 2014 Holiday presentation and 2015 Preview.
Feb 11th: Peel Walk “Ringing in the New Year”. Meet: 10.30 Fenella Beach Car Park. 11.30 coffee at The House of Manannan to “have a go” with the Peel Handbell Ringers. Lunch 12.30 “The Creek”.
Feb 25th: Film, “Children of Heaven” 80 minute film set in Iran.
Mar 11th: Walk Gansey to Port St. Mary. Meet: Gansey Pottery – 217 685. Lunch at The Shore Hotel.
Mar 25th: History of Groudle Glen Railway. An illustrated presentation by Richard Booth.
Apr 8th: Annual Daffodil Walk. Meet at Port Grenaugh - 316704. Lunch: Mount Murray Golf Club.
Apr 22nd: “Milntown” an Illustrated presentation by Paul Ogden, Estate Manager.
May 13th: ALL DAY or AM or PM. Meet 10.30am Milntown Car Park Walk - Bring picnic lunch. 2.00 p.m. Meet Milntown - private escorted visit to house, vintage vehicles and gardens. Afternoon cream tea . £13 per head.
May 27th: “Thailand Travels” an Illustrated presentation by John Phipp.
Jun 17th: Ballaglass to Cornaa Walk. Meet Ballaglass Glen park – 468897. Bring Picnic lunch.
Jun 24th: Walk Niarbyl. Lunch Niarbyl Café.
Jul 8th: Beach walk from the Ayres Visitor Centre to Blue Point return via Heath walk. Lunch at The Grosvenor, Andreas.
Jul 22nd: Annual BBQ at Jean’s - 12 noon. Parking on site in field £8 per head. Book by 14th July.
Aug 12th: Silverdale Walk Lunch at the Café.
Aug 27th: THURSDAY : Annual Steam train trip to Port Erin. Meet Douglas Station 9.30 a.m. Bring bus pass. Lunch at “The Station Hotel” Port Erin.
Sep 9th: Guided walk of the Arboretum, St Johns. Lunch at “The Tynwald Inn”.
Sep 23rd: “The Curraghs Wildlife Park” an illustrated talk by Kathleen Graham, Director.
Oct 14th: “Round Robin Walk” Laxey. Meet at Laxey Wheel Car Park. Lunch at The Corn Mill, Laxey.
Oct 21st: Film - “Wendy & Lucy” A tale of a girl and her dog on route to Alaska - 90mins.
Nov 11th: “Remembrance Day Walk”. Meet Derby Castle 10.15 a.m. Walk to War Memorial. 12.30 Lunch at Sefton followed by IOM silk banner poppy painting.
Nov 25th: Christmas Products from Shoprite Gillian Harvey - Customer Service Co-ordinator.
Dec 9th: Christmas Lunch. Book by November 29th.
Jan 13th: Bishopscourt Glen walk. Park roadside. Lunch: The Raven, Ballaugh.
